Standard License Fees
A Standard license allows you to install and use KSB Pro
on one computer by one user. Under this license you can
install KSB Pro on more than one machine as long as only one
user at the time will be utilizing it. For example, if
you own a desktop and laptop computer, you may install KSB Pro
on both as long as only user at the time will be using the
program.
A Standard license / DB
is identical to the Standard license except you will be
granted a 1 year, 2 year, 3 year or lifetime subscription
(depending on what you purchase) to the "KSB Pro Master
Song Database". The Master Song Database will be
updated through out the year to include newly released titles
along with karaoke CDs that are not currently part of our
database. Updates may also include corrections of
existing data along with new "Karaoke CD Set"
information.

Subscription License Fees (An subscription license
requires a licensed version of KSB Pro)
A Subscription License will work only with a previously
licensed version of KSB Pro. They are used solely for
"adding" or upgrading "Master Song Book
Database" access to already licensed software. Each
license upgrade replaces the existing license so it is
recommended that an upgrade be applied only after an existing
subscription has expired. Subscription licenses are not
cumulative. You cannot purchase a 1 Year and a 2 Year to
obtain 3 years unless you allow each license to expire before
installing next.

This SOFTWARE PRODUCT is protected by copyright laws and
international copyright treaties, as well as other
intellectual property laws and treaties.
The SOFTWARE PRODUCT may consist of printed product
documentation, tools and utilities, technical information,
sample data, related industry data, electronic documentation
and executable program files.
All title and copyrights in and to the SOFTWARE PRODUCT
(including but not limited to any images, photographs,
animations, video, audio, music, text, the accompanying
printed materials and any copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT, are

AGAINST THE OTHER ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THIS AGREEMENT
SHALL BE BROUGHT ONLY IN A STATE OR FEDERAL COURT OF COMPETENT
JURISDICTION LOCATED IN HARNETT COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA. THE
PARTIES HEREBY CONSENT TO IN PERSON AM JURISDICTION OF SAID
COURTS.

License Agreement
1. Grant of License. Westcom Software, LLC grants to you the
right to use the application program (the
"Software"), which is both the demonstration version
and the licensed version of the full program. For purposes of
this section, "use" means loading the Software into
RAM, as well as installation on a hard disk or other storage
device. You shall not: rent, lease, sell, distribute for money
or other consideration, modify, translate, disassemble,
decompile, reverse engineer, or create derivative works based
upon the Software or any of it's component parts including but
not limited to, song data, graphics and sound effects. You
agree that the Software will not be shipped, transferred or
exported into any country in violation of the U.S. Export
Administration Act (or any other law governing such matters)
and that you will not utilize, in any other manner, the
Software in violation of any applicable law.
2. Commercial Use is Prohibited: Under no circumstances shall
you, the end user, be permitted, allowed or authorized to
commercially exploit the Software. Neither you nor anyone at
your direction shall do the following acts:
a. Rent the Software;
b. Sell the Software;
c. Lease the Software;
d. Offer the Software on a pay-per-use basis;
e. Distribute the Software for money or other consideration;
or
f. In any manner and through any medium whatsoever
commercially exploit the software or use the software for any
commercial purpose.;
3. Distribution of the demonstration version is permitted:
Westcom Software, LLC grants to you the right to distribute,
royalty free the demonstration Software; provided that the
Software is distributed only in it's single file compressed
format and no fee other than a copying or handling fee is
charged.
Distribution of the demonstration version via web sites, BBS's,
CD-ROM compilations and Shareware Distributors is permitted as
long as the above restrictions are met.
Distribution of any licensed version of Karaoke Song Book Pro
or KSB Pro license keys is a violation of international
copyright law and will be pursued to the furthest extent the
law allows.
If you're a dealer of Karaoke CDs you almost certainly sell
entire sets or collections of CDs. Sometimes, these
collections can be quite large which means your customers have
an immediate need for Song Book software after
purchasing. It is almost impossible to manage a
collection of 20 or more CDs without some kind of song book
facility.
KSB Pro makes the perfect bundle for CD collections since
many are pre-flagged allowing your customers to create a
songbook for the entire set in just seconds. The
automated update facility even has the ability to add new sets
to the database of existing users of KSB Pro.
We can even add custom set data for CD collections that you
create. This "set" information can be
retrieved and easily incorporated by a KSB Pro user to
automatically add your CD bundle to their song book. For
example: You sell a 100 CD collection. If the set is
already part of the current release of KSB Pro, you just
bundle KSB Pro with the collection and the user can create a
100 CD song book in less than two minutes from start to
finish. If the set is not in our current release, we'll
add it to our Master Song database update. The customer
can then connect to the internet to update their copy of the
Master Song database and then add the collection to their song
book with a single click.
KSB Pro is also perfect for bundling with CAVS machines or
any hardware package that includes bundled karaoke CDs.
We'll even work with you! If you're interested in
bundling a version of KSB Pro with your hardware and we can
come to terms on a quantity that will allow it, we can even
offer a version of KSB Pro pre-configured and manufactured
just for you.
Bundling KSB Pro encourages repeat sales since customers
will know they can easily add additional CDs to their
collection, and our wholesale pricing makes this a lot more
affordable than you might think, so contact us if you're
interested!
Because we sell KSB Pro at wholesale prices for quantity
orders, it can make an enticing bundle offer for your
customers. We are confident that adding KSB Pro to a CD
bundle will increase the value to your customers and your
revenues!
Please contact us via email at Email Sales concerning wholesale pricing for
quantity orders of shrink-wrapped product. Be sure to
include your Tax ID number with your inquiry. We will
not provide whole sale pricing with out it.
If you have purchased KSB Pro from a retail outlet such as
a book/music store or online karaoke dealer, it will come with
a license code. Each KSB Pro license code will enable
use of the program and/or activate a subscription to access
our Master
Song Database. When you enter a valid code, all
licensed features within KSB Pro will be enabled.
If you are downloading KSB Pro from our website or have
obtained it somewhere else and do not have a license code, you
can still use the program in Demo mode. When in DEMO
mode all features are active except, Printing, Exporting and
Master Song Database updating. The DEMO also limits song
books to a maximum of 20 CD's.
You can still use the Demo version to create your song
books and preview them on the screen. The KSB Pro
print-preview is very powerful and allows you to sample any
style or format.
When you do license KSB Pro. you'll be able to export
any rendered song book to any of the following
formats...
PDF
(Adobe Acrobat)
HTML (Internet Hypertext)
RTF (Rich Text)
XLS (MS Excel).
PDFs
are particularly useful as they give a secure format for
making your song book available for download via a
website. HTML is perfect if you need to create sample
data for posting on a website and XLS is great if you maintain
a songbook for someone else who already has MS Excel and need
an easy way to deliver it in digital format. (Rather
than just a printed version)
In
addition, KSB Pro provides Full Import/Export to CSV
(Comma-Delimited Text) for moving data between
applications. This makes a perfect "Backup"

Last, but certainly not least, if you purchase (or have
purchased) a subscription license, you'll be able to
automatically receive updates to Master Song Database by
simply connecting to the internet and saying, "fetch boy,
fetch!" (metaphorically speaking of course.)
The Demo is the perfect way to find out if KSB Pro is right
for you and once you license the product all KSB Pro's
features will be yours to use for years to come.
